Key Terms

“The APK Valley,” “we,” “us,” “our”
The information-only website that publishes guides and explanations about Android apps. We don’t run a mobile app, we don’t host or mirror APK files, and we don’t offer user accounts.

“Website,” “Site,” “Service”
Everything you access under our domains and subdomains—our pages, articles, images, email support, and related features (like RSS or newsletters if we add them).

“You,” “visitor,” “user”
The individual reading or using the Website. If you’re acting for a company, “you” can also mean that business.

“Account”
We don’t offer user accounts right now. If we ever add accounts, “Account” will mean a unique login you create to use extra features, managed under an updated policy.

“Personal data” / “personal information”
Any information that can identify a person—directly or indirectly—such as an email you send us, an IP address tied to your device, or a unique online identifier used by ad or analytics tools.

“Non-personal data”
Information that doesn’t identify you on its own—aggregate stats like total page views, general device type, or trends across many visitors.

“Device”
Any way you access the Site: laptop/desktop, phone, tablet, or similar.

“Cookies”
Small files saved in your browser that help the Site work and help partners measure analytics and ads. We group them as:

  • Necessary (security, core functions),
  • Analytics (understand what’s useful),
  • Advertising (fund the site; may personalize ads).
Similar technologies” includes local storage, pixels, and web beacons.

“Consent banner” / “cookie banner”
The on-site controls (especially for EEA/UK visitors) that let you accept, reject, or fine-tune non-essential cookies such as analytics and advertising.

“IP address”
A number assigned to your device/network when you go online. Providers may use it to infer approximate location (city/region), detect abuse, or deliver content.

“Approximate location”
A rough idea of where a visit comes from (e.g., city/region). We don’t use precise GPS and we don’t need your exact address.

“Ad partners”
Providers that deliver and measure advertisements on our Site—primarily Google AdSense and its partners. They may use cookies or similar tech to show and measure ads, and sometimes to personalize them.

“Analytics provider”
A service that helps us understand what’s working on the Site—commonly Google Analytics or a similar tool that uses cookies or similar tech to produce usage stats and performance insights.

“Service provider” / “processor”
A company that processes data for us (ads, analytics, hosting, email). They must protect data and use it only for our purposes and instructions.

“Controller”

“Processing”
Any action performed on data—collecting, storing, analyzing, sharing, or deleting.

“Do Not Sell or Share” (CPRA)
California rules about selling or sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t sell personal information. Where laws treat personalized ads as “sharing,” you can opt out using our banner and the industry tools we list.

“Children”
People under 13. Our Site is for a general audience and isn’t directed to children under 13.

Scope

This Policy covers information collected through our website and related pages. It does not cover sites or services we link to; those have their own policies.

Information we collect

Information you provide — such as your email when you subscribe, submit a form, or contact us; any content you submit (comments, feedback); and your preferences or consent choices.

Information collected automatically — such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, time stamps, and diagnostic data. We also use cookies, pixels, tags, and local storage to operate the site, remember choices, measure performance, and (where permitted) personalize or measure advertising.

Information from partners — analytics/measurement reports and anonymized or pseudonymous identifiers; limited affiliate/attribution signals (for example, a click ID or timestamp) to validate referrals.

Age-restricted pages — where content relates to experiences with age or regional restrictions, we may display 18+ notices and store your confirmation in a cookie or server log. We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data.

How we use information

We use information to operate, maintain, and improve the Service; respond to inquiries; perform analytics and measure performance; personalize or measure content and advertising where permitted by law and your choices; protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents; comply with legal obligations; and operate lawful affiliate programs (including referral validation).

Legal bases where required (EEA/UK)

When GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on consent (for optional cookies/personalized ads), legitimate interests (site security, basic analytics, non-personalized advertising, and improvements), contract (when providing requested features), and legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time via our cookie banner or by contacting us.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that support hosting, security, analytics, measurement, email, and customer support under contracts that restrict their use of data; with analytics and advertising partners to understand traffic and, where permitted, to deliver or measure ads; with affiliate platforms to validate referrals; with authorities or others where required by law or to protect rights, users, or the public; and with business transferees in the event of a merger or acquisition.
We do not sell your personal information for money. In some jurisdictions (such as California), certain adtech practices may be considered a “sale” or “sharing.” See “Your privacy rights” for opt-out choices.

Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies (operations, security, consent), functional cookies (remembering choices), analytics cookies (site performance), and advertising/measurement cookies (where permitted). You can manage cookies using our cookie banner, your browser settings, and applicable industry tools. Blocking some cookies may impact functionality. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing where required by law. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including legal, security, and dispute-resolution requirements. Typical durations: contact data up to 24 months after your last interaction (unless you unsubscribe earlier); analytics/advertising identifiers until you clear cookies or reset identifiers (aggregate reports may be kept longer); server logs generally 12–24 months, unless required longer for investigations.

International transfers

We may process and store information outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers from the EEA/UK.

Your privacy rights

Your rights depend on your location. Where applicable, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a regulator.

California residents may have rights to know/access, correct, delete, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as well as to limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information. We will treat a valid GPC signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing. To exercise rights, use our cookie banner and/or email theapkvalley@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and may deny requests where an exemption applies.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data (for example, encryption in transit, access controls, and limited retention). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Pages involving age-restricted experiences are intended for adults (18+).

Third-party links

Our Service contains links to third-party sites or services. Their practices are governed by their own privacy statements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice.
